I have a whole bunch of them saved in my recs notepad, and I decided to go ahead and put up what I have so far before it turns into my HP rec list which has over 500+ fic therefore I'm not even going to dare to attempt to post it.

Here you'll find a link to the fic, its rating, multi-chapter/oneshot details, and its summary - I'm too lazy to attempt anything else. :P

Not all my recs are here yet, it's a work in progress, really, but I wanted to go ahead and post before I forget and then procrastinate too much. :)

They mass together in crowds that are reported to grow in size every day. At night they have very few, if any, safe places to stay. Houses with satelite dishes were attacked by the Basij tonight, and during the 50 minutes of Twitter's maintenance, another university was attacked.

WHAT CAN YOU DO TO HELP?

The most obvious thing to do is stay informed. Keep an eye on reliable sources on Twitter, refresh blogs and news sites that are covering the stories.

If you are on twitter, retweet information from reliable twitters, but REMOVE THE USERNAME if they are in Iran. People have died because of the lack of responsibility by fellow tweeters and the media in this front. They can be tracked down by the government of Iran.

Spread the information elsewhere. Repost this article or write your own on Facebook, Myspace, Tumblr, or anywhere else you can think of. If you write your own, make sure you are concise and accurate. Link to your sources for people to learn more.

Change your location on Twitter to Tehran or Iran, and your time zone to GMT +3:30.

DO NOT auto-refresh and take down websites, even if you are asked. It slows down the internet for the rest of the people in Iran.

If you make a proxy DO NOT post it publically, otherwise it is useless. Send it in a direct message to a trusted source.

DO NOT spam the hash tag #IranElection with useless things to "confuse the government". This does not help at all.

If you are reading this right now, you have more luxury than someone in Iran could ever hope for right now. If you are watching TV or a video on youtube, updating your status on Facebook, Tweeting, or even texting your friend, you are lucky. If you are safe in your home, and were able to sleep last night without the sounds of screaming from the rooftops, you need to know and understand what is happening to people just like you in Iran right now.

They are not the enemy. They are a people whose election has been stolen. For the first time in a long time, a voice for change struck the youth of Iran, just as it did for many people in the United States only seven months ago. Hossein Mousavi gained the support of millions of people in Iran as a Presidential candidate. He stands for progressiveness. He supports good relations with the West, and the rest of the world. He is supported with fervor as he challenges the oppressive regime of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

On Friday, millions of people waited for hours in line to vote in Iran's Presidential election. Later that night, as votes came in, Mousavi was alerted that he was winning by a two-thirds margin. Then there was a change. Suddenly, it was Ahmadinejad who had 68% of the vote - in areas which have been firmly against his political party, he overwhelmingly won. Within three hours, millions of votes were supposedly counted - the victor was Ahmadinejad. Immediately fraud was suspected - there was no way he could have won by this great a margin with such oppposition. Since then, reports have been coming in of burned ballots, or in some cases numbers being given without any being counted at all. None of this is confirmed, but what happened next seems to do the trick.

The people of Iran took the streets and rooftops. They shout "Death to the dictator" and "Allah o akbar." They join together to protest. Peacefully. The police attack some, but they stay strong. Riots happen, and the shouting continues all night. Text messaging was disabled, as was satellite, and websites which can spread information such as Twitter, Facebook, Youtube, and the BBC are blocked in the country. At five in the morning, Arabic speaking soldiers (the people of Iran speak Farsi) stormed a university in the capital city of Tehran. While sleeping in their dormitories, five students were killed. Others were wounded. These soldiers are thought to have been brought in by Ahmadinejad from Lebanon. Today, 192 of the university's faculty have resigned in protest.

Mousavi requested that the government allow a peaceful rally to occur this morning - the request was denied. Many thought that it would not happen. Nevertheless, first a few thousand people showed up in the streets of Tehran. At this point, it is estimated that 1 to 2 million people were there. Mousavi spoke on the top of a car. The police stood by. For a few hours, everything was peaceful. Right now, the same cannot be said. Reports of injuries, shootings, and killings are flooding the internet. Twitter has been an invaluable source - those in Iran who still know how to access it are updating regularly with picture evidence. People are being brutally beaten. Tonight will be another night without rest for so many in Iran no older than I am. Tonight there is a Green Revolution.

IT'S TOTALLY TRUE, I DID, AND IT'S AMAZING AND I'M SO BEYOND HAPPY. I went into the pet store to get goldfish for Crucio, and the woman remembers me as the 'girl who always wants a hairless rat', but I knew they were breeding them, so I didn't bother asking this time.

And then she's getting me goldfish and casually says, 'You know, one of the breeder hairless rats are on sale...'

And I literally squealed and clapped and then slapped a hand over my mouth and choked on another squeal, and nearly fainted with joy. She was so amused, but yep, got me a hairless rat. She's pregnant, too! When she has her babies and raises them, I'm going to give one to Danielle and take the rest to the pet store - they said they'd give me rat food in exchange. :)

And her name is Doctor. Technically, she's Two, because my first Doctor rat died via a bludgeon to the head basically, but yep - I've got my Doctor #2. :D

AND LET'S TALK ABOUT SOMETHING MORE IMPORTANT: ELEVEN'S NEW COMPANION!! (SPOILERS, DUH)

I really wanted a male, but I'm pleased with this one - true, mostly because she's ginger, but f;alkdj I AM SO EXCITED FOR HER AND ELEVEN and I kind of ship them already, even though I don't want anymore romance on this show for the Doctor. I prefer it like I prefer my Ten/Donna - besties on the show, but totally shippable in fandom! So, in celebration of the new era that's going to begin with the new year, I bring you:

So: I AM NO LONGER IN THERAPY. I am really happy about this because I feel sort of... free, now. And my therapist thinks I will flourish. But we both got really emotional saying goodbye, she had become a really good friend more than anything, and it was really awful having to say goodbye to her. We talked about anything and everything, and we were both so comfortable with each other that we'd kick off our shoes, sit in the floor cross-legged and barefoot, drinking diet coke and giddily discussing psychology. And that's not really a therapy thing.

I went to the doctor's today, I might have to go to a pain clinic to get this weird shot thing. A steroid shot. Ugh. :\

But whatever, I'm happy, despite being in pain.

lifetechnicolor, I know how amazingly late this is, I kept trying to figure out what to make for your birthday, and I'd start making something and then not have anything else to add and then try something else... needless to say, all my endeavors failed, so I scrapped them all together and here they are. Helloooo flist! This Sunday IS MY BIRTHDAY. February 22nd! I WILL BE EIGHTEEN!! I will be officially and - well - technically an adult, AND THAT IS A BIG DEAL FOR ME. When I get off the plane at the airport we're going to have to maintain an excitability a la POST-HONEYMOON.

So more about Scrubs, I've thrown around the 'what's my official Scrubs OTP' debate around in my head over and over again. Cox/Jordan or Turk/Carla? COX/JORDAN OR TURK/CARLA. I love them both so much. I flail over all of their scenes. They both make me equally as happy in a I'M GOING TO VOMIT SUNSHINE OVER EVERY SINGLE ONE OF YOU way. But in the end, the fact that Turk and Carla are the Scrubs version of my sister and her fiance - who I ship hardcore IRL - they win out. AND I HAD TO MAKE THEM A FANMIX.

595 ♥ as someone sets light to the first fire of autumn

On Tuesday I accomplished a myriad of different things - dentist, doctor, therapist. I am now on adderall instead of paxil and xanax, because having both paxil and xanax on top of painkillers and muscle relaxers was just overkill and it was messing with me mentally. Plus I've decided instead of two muscle relaxers a day, only one at night, and I'm on a weaker painkiller than percocet. Even though it doesn't help my back as much as percocet did, my head is definitely clearer. I asked the doctor to put me on a very low dosage of adderall because it's basically just prescription speed, and I'm happy to say that so far it has helped me immensely and it's not a substance I will be abusing any time soon. :)

In even better news: MY INSURANCE IS ACTIVE UNTIL I TURN 19. And to think I stressed about this for months.

I'm going to be 18 soon and I am SO EXCITED. I think instead of going out to dinner with my birthday money, I'll just by Dr Who season 2 - like I told P, a dinner lasts a night; Dr Who lasts foreverrr.

I talked to my therapist - I haven't seen her in a month! She says despite having lost very important pets this recent weekend, that she can tell I am much, much healthier mentally than I was a month ago, when I was on that insane amount of meds. I used to see her every two weeks, but I'm not going to be seeing her for three weeks this time around, and then we're probably going to switch to once a month, because I'm also starting physical therapy again soon! YES.

And even better: I've made plans that will allow me to visit the following

hp_capslock members: A, P, C, M and Carina! I can't wait until this fabulous little tour is set in motion.

In case you were wondering why I posted a fact sheet about myself in case of amnesia, my new pills have side effects like that. Anyway, MARGARITA ATTENTION: I really did hit the jackpot. Percocet, Soma, an anxiety pill that is basically Xanax with a longer halflife, and Paxil. O___O My mom wants to open up our own personal pharmacy. It's really quite ridiculous, but I'm letting my mother keep them so I'm not tempted to abuse them. I'm not going to do that anymore thanks.

I've posted way too much today. But I just finished another picspam - a picspam for Across the Universe. Basically, it's just hi res promos and some behind the scenes stuff. Hope you like it!

So how great is Patrick Wolf, right?! I've always liked him, but obviously didn't really get into him this much until

hp_capslock and now he has taken over my life. I did this for a challenge over at

picspammy for 'your favorite person', and this is also for

halfinlovewith, who stays up with me through out all of the AM hours here in the US (by the way, what kind of name is the UNITED STATES, 'Australia' is so much cooler), watching Patrick Wolf music videos and interviews. I think if I had to describe our 8 or so hours of talking non-stop, on a nightly basis this entire week, would be: Wolf, Sturgess, Wombats, INCEST A-GO-GO. I love you, Roseee, and am going to die without you for two days. As soon as I get the chance (and the money -_-), I'm hopping a plane to Australia. I'd rather go there than you come here because OMG AUSTRALIA.

OT: I had the FREAKIEST DREAM involving a penguin butchering a cat with its beak and me having to take the cat to the vet. My sister's tent, lots of animals (including a turtle!), purples and browns, money, Tom Riddle possessions, ghosts, traveling and greens and gravel driveways - oh man I love my subconscious.

SO OMG. Back home now. TODAY WAS SO WEIRD LIKE. My sister FAINTED and naturally I freaked the fuck out but she's okay now. We watched Freaky Friday and I cooked mac & cheese.

I BOUGHT GOSSIP GIRL ON DVD!! I must confess: I LOVE NATE now. Chuck will always be my favorite character, but I admire Nate (asshole tendencies aside). I love that he stood up to his parents the way he did, because I know that's hella difficult for some people.

HOWEVER, the point of this post is for my bb

My first TV show related picspam, and it's dedicated to my original fandom. This picspam made me so nostalgic.

Oh Btvs, how I miss you. Especially you, Buffy Summers. COMICS BE DAMNED. I refuse to read them because a) I hate comic books and b) MAKING IT CANON? Joss, are you SERIOUS? Giant Dawns already being an idiotic thing aside, that ain't cool and it'll never be my canon. Anything outside of the television show will never be canon to me and if that makes me a bitch, so be it! Now, with that rant out of the way!

So season two - my favorite season, hands down. There was romance and comedy and oh, man, so much freaking heartbreak I can't even properly describe it all. This season started out rather fun. It was what became the 'break' between apocalypses where everything was almost carefree, in a way. But then EVERYTHING GOES TO SHIT. And this season is the perfect example of EVERYTHING GOING TO SHIT. My OTP finally, finally bump nasties and THEN HE GOES EVIL AND KILLS OFF GILES' LADY LOVE AND OMG WHAT. And I loved it. Every single minute of it, even though I cried and freaked out and oh, God, Buffy and Giles BUT ANGELUS WAS SO COOL. And this was the season of OMG SPIKE and OMG DRUSILLA and awww DRUSILLA/SPIKE Y SO EPIC?

And then SNAP goes Jenny's neck and then everything is srs bsns. If you're into romance - light and cute and tragic and heartbreaking, this is the season I would suggest you watch first.

And why is this episode one of my favorites? Because a 17 year old girl has to choose between killing the love of her life or letting the world get sucked into hell. And of course she chooses to kill her boyfriend, but how unfair is that choice? And how awesome does it make this show that things like this happen to teenage girls? PRETTY DAMN AWESOME, I say.

Buffy might get whiny and ridiculous and selfish all the time but she's my hero and she always will be. Because while she's being a bitch and judging everyone she's saving their lives, even if they don't deserve it - even if she doesn't want to.
